What is a membrane switch and what does it do

Film switch is an operating system which integrates key function, indicator element and instrument panel. It consists of four parts: panel, upper circuit, isolation layer and lower circuit. Press the film switch, the contact of the upper circuit deforms downward, and the plate of the lower circuit contacts through. 1) Flat non-tactile type:

Long service life, but no touch; 

2) Film convex touch type:

Good touch, but relatively short service life; 

3) Convex frame type no touch type:

Beautiful appearance, there is a strong sense of three-dimensional, but no touch; 

4) Convex border touch type:

Beautiful appearance, strong three-dimensional sense, and touch; 

5) Face plate convex touch type:

(a) type: When the design is not appropriate, it is easy to have two segments, but the plate is damaged, and the electrical performance also exists;

(b) type: there is no two-stage phenomenon, and the structural layer is less, more economical, if the plate is damaged, the electrical performance will not exist; 

6) Metal shrapnel type:

Type (a) : The most basic and most commonly used structure. The shrapnel acts both as a touch and as a wire.

Type (b) : Complex structure, used for more dense shrapnel and do not have jumper occasions. Shrapnel is placed on the top line, the conductive surface of the upper and lower lines are upward, and the upper line needs to be punched. When this structure conducts, the four feet of the shrapnel and the center point are not in the same plane, and the situation of "two segments" appears. At the same time, the shrapnel is often in a strong state of excessive anti-concave. After a long time, the shrapnel will not rebound, and it is not recommended to use it. 

(c) type: the shrapnel is placed on the line, only plays the role of touch, the upper line conductive face down, the lower line conductive face up, there are "two sections", not recommended; 

Type (d) : The shrapnel is placed on the lower line, and the upper and lower lines are wired, and the shrapnel plays both the role of touch and the role of connecting the upper and lower lines; It is used for the occasions where the shrapnel is more dense and there is no jumper, and the structure is simpler than that of type (b). In the design, attention should be paid to the four legs of the line to avoid the shrapnel to ensure that there is no short circuit. 

7) Luminous shape: be sure to open the bottom rubber mold;

(a)LED line and the lower line of the same layer: the structure is simple, but if the selected LED light height is higher, the LED light will lift the panel, at this time should be the panel of the LED window to do convex processing, or thicken the thickness of the surface layer, so that its thickness is greater than the thickness of the LED light; 

(b) The LED line and the lower line are different layers: the structure is complex, but the LED window does not have to be convex, but the upper area of the LED light must be hollowed out to prevent light from penetrating the LED light hole. Note: At this time, avoid the LED light hole around the line routing. 

8) Folding:

This type can avoid jumpers and does not need to fill holes to make the conductive surface downward, the disadvantage of this structure is easy to break the line at the fold. 

9) Waterproof inside and outside frame:

The outer frame is a closed frame with no wiring, and the inner frame plays a protective role to prevent water vapor from entering the housing from the outlet groove.
